Some Important Policies

Approval Process

To be considered, all candidates must undergo a temperament test which is made by appointment only. Prior to temperament test, all vaccines must be up to date and provided to Pup E Club USA, Inc. personnel. Current required vaccinations on file (DHLPP [vaccine for canine distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza & parvovius], Rabies and Bordetella [kennel cough]) and be using effective flea & tick preventatives. This information will then be uploaded into our system as part of your loved one’s portfolio.

Medication

We are happy to give oral or topical medications to your dog but require the following: all medications must be in their original container and must include your dog’s name, the name and strength of the medication, and directions including dosage, number of times per day, how it is to be given, illness to be treated, areas to be treated, etc.- DO NOT ADD MEDS TO FOOD BAGS, they will be removed and separated by date and time. We take medicating dogs very seriously and take out time to ensure they are swallowed and not dropped on the floor or hidden in uneaten food.

Pick-Up

Owners can arrange to have friends or relatives pick up their dog, but owners must inform our daycare staff in advance before we will allow any other person to take home a pet that is not theirs. Proof of ID must also be shown. Again, pets that are not picked up by 8:00 p.m. will be boarded and will be subject to the additional boarding fees. They can be picked up the next morning at 7:00 a.m.

Boarding

If your dog is destructive when left alone, can open doors/latches or becomes extremely anxious when confined, we ask that you let us know ahead of time, so we can use crate for boarding. Crates are a comfort and not a punishment for dogs.

Bathtime

Our daycare staff will do their very best to clean up your loved one after a day of playtime. However, please understand that their primary role is to supervise and ensure each and every dog is having a wonderful day before sending them home. With that said, we are more than happy to provide your pet with a bath; so please schedule during drop off or prior so we can ensure we have your pet clean and fresh for pick-up. We also use a body spray to keep odor down prior to pick-up, if you do not wish this, please let the staff know.

Safety Issues

In order to maintain a safe play environment for the dogs, any dog that misbehaves will be given a time-out from the daycare area. If the dog is in time out more than (2) times, the owner will be contacted, and the dog will be removed from the daycare immediately. If it is felt that your dog is a risk to other guest or people at any time, Pup E Club USA, Inc. reserves the right to refuse service at any time. Dogs with short hair are more prone to scratch marks and teeth marks. It is imperative that all owners understand when putting more than a dozen animals in a room together that mishaps can occur. While this is not common, a bite can happen quickly, and medical care may be required. Owner assumes all risks and all vet bills are paid by owner, not Pup E Club USA, Inc.

Risks

Owners understand that supervised off-leash socialization and interaction between our guests is encouraged. Owners also acknowledge that dogs are unpredictable in behavior and are aware of the risks involved in such play and assume all risks. Dogs play with their mouths and feet; scratches and marks are inevitable.
